As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving characteristic improvements within assigned categories by analyzing regional data and documenting production equipment/processes through benchmarking and best practice sharing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Characteristics Analysis: Conduct data analysis, benchmarking, and best practice sharing to identify areas for improvement.
  • Drive Correlation: Analyze and implement solutions to correlate local, regional, and global strategies with new model development, influencing leadership direction setting and strategic goals.
  • Analyze and Implement Solutions: Develop and evaluate engineering concept sheets, payback calculations, and environmental documents to implement solutions based on production engineering work orders.
  • Lead Complex Study Activity: Oversee complex study activity, equipment renewal strategies, and data request activity from local and global teams.
  • Responsible for New Technology/Process Studies: Conduct studies to understand characteristic impact, investment cost, and ROI of new technologies and processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering: Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering preferred, or 6 years of equivalent relevant experience.
  • 8-15 Years of Relevant Experience: Focused in the Paint category, with past project leadership experience in new model development, business planning, renewal, innovation, and new technology introduction.
  • Knowledge and Experience: Within the Honda business planning process, with strong verbal and written skills to communicate effectively with customers and internal project teams.
  • Business Acumen: In a technical environment, with demonstrated category-specific expertise.
Work Environment
  • Flexible Work Hours: Flexible work schedule, with frequent early morning and late-night meetings with global teams.
  • Business Trips: Estimate 5-10 business trips per year to support regional initiatives and improve standardization across the region.
  • OT and Weekend Work: Average 5-15 hours of overtime per week, with weekend and holiday work required.
