Job Title: Continuous Improvement Engineer

Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is seeking a skilled Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our team in Lincoln, IL.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will lead initiatives to drive continuous improvement and cost reduction programs, focusing on safety, quality, and productivity. This role will involve scheduling and leading kaizen events, implementing Lean Manufacturing concepts, and evaluating manufacturing problems to implement improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing concepts, including Value Stream Map evaluation and future state implementation.
  • Evaluate manufacturing problems and implement improvements to increase safety and repeatability of existing processes.
  • Perform time study analysis and create standard work and line-balancing documents.
  • Aid in initiating, developing, and managing capital improvement projects, including manufacturing equipment, facility enhancements, and new product start-ups.
  • Drive continuous improvement on the shop floor, focusing on safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction.
  • Coordinate and complete multiple projects on schedule with minimal supervision.
  • Create user-friendly picture-based work instructions for new and existing product builds.
  • Perform data analysis to identify and prioritize improvement opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
  • Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business, minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing or operations, and in-depth knowledge of sheet metal process, automated assembly, tooling, packaging, product design, and manufacturing procedures and methods.
  • Six Sigma Certification and strong knowledge of Lean and TPM principles are also preferred.
