About the Position

As a Registered Nurse at Spokane Public Schools, you will play a vital role in providing quality healthcare services to students. We are seeking an experienced RN to join our team as a Healthcare Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Train and supervise school staff in the administration of oral medication to students
  • Provide treatments to students as ordered by their physicians
  • Train and supervise school staff in the performance of delegated nursing tasks
  • Perform other nursing duties as assigned by a school nurse
  • Assist with tasks involved in vision and hearing screening
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated ability and aptitude to perform the responsibilities listed
  • Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Washington
  • Experience working with children and the community preferred
  • Experience supervising non-licensed persons preferred
  • Current first aid certificate preferred
  • Current CPR certificate preferred

Compensation:

The estimated salary for this position is $76,500 per year, based on the Educational Support Specialist Salary Schedule. Experience increments depend on experience in the same or similar permanent position within a Washington State public school.
