Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Park Services Officer to join our team at the City of Spokane, WA. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about maintaining public safety and providing exceptional customer service.

About the Job

Salary: $42,532.56 - $65,855.52 per annum

This position requires a high level of physical fitness, as you will be performing security patrol work in City parks on foot, bicycle, or in a motorized vehicle. You will also be responsible for enforcing park rules and regulations, providing first aid response, and investigating suspicious activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patrol City parks to prevent damage to property and danger to users
  • Enforce park rules and regulations
  • Provide first aid response and request professional assistance when needed
  • Investigate suspicious activities and prevent infractions
  • Issue civil infractions for park code violations
  • Participate in the enforcement of parking rules and make arrests when necessary
  • Assist with repair and restocking of parking kiosks and equipment
  • Handle parking disputes and respond to park alarms
  • Perform related work as required
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of experience in security patrol work
  • Possession of a valid driver's license
