Habitat for Humanity Spokane is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Homebuyer Partnership Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our Homeowner Engagement Specialists to ensure that all documents required for loan application and origination are collected in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

">
  • You will assist our Homeowner Services Department in teaching lending-related classes in Habitat College.
  • Create loan applications in Calyx software to submit to 3rd party lenders for loan origination.
  • Determine the best lender and submit loan packets to 3rd party lenders via secure websites/portsals.
  • Advocate for the best loan product per client needs.
  • Point of contact with lenders to assist with additional document collection and loan calculation.
  • Serve as an ongoing point of contact for clients, helping them collect required information and complete necessary documents throughout the loan process.
  • Update notes in databases for meetings held with future and current homeowners.
  • Work with the Chief Program Officer to obtain information and documents needed for grant application/compliance.
  • Determine when grants can be used based on knowledge from grantor contracts and terms.
  • Quarterly reviews of all Future Homeowners to find any financing gaps and notify the Chief Program Officer of those gaps when applicable.
  • Create Purchase and Sale Agreements and amendments as needed.
  • Assist the Chief Program Officer in preparing documents for homeowner closings, including Promissory Notes, Subordinate Deeds, Retention Agreements, and Bargain and Sale Deed.
  • Coordinate with title companies, 3rd party lenders, and future homeowners to schedule document signing and closing meetings as needed to meet all closing and grant deadlines.
  • Pre-closing meetings with families to go over closing documents and procedures.
  • Organize all closing and legal documents in homeowner hard files and on networks.
  • Assist the Chief Program Officer in processing reconveyance documents as needed.
  • Provide immediate post-purchase assistance to homebuyers, such as changing utilities and setting up payment portals.
  • Maintain relationships with preferred 3rd party lenders and onboard new lenders as needed.
  • Maintain Federal and State QLO Certification.
  • Ensure compliance with RESPA, TILA, and all fair housing and lending laws.
  • Represent Habitat for Humanity Spokane in all aspects of professional service while adhering to all policies and procedures.
  • Attend Habitat for Humanity-Spokane events and meetings as required.

Requirements

To perform this job successfully, you must have:

">
  • One year of lending experience and/or training.
  • One year of experience in a social services setting.
  • Knowledge of RESPA, TILA, Fair Housing and Lending Laws.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and communicate effectively with diverse populations.
  • Basic algebra and geometry skills.
  • The ability to solve practical problems, interpret instructions, and calculate figures and amounts.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, 403B, life insurance, PTO, holidays, vacation leave, sick leave, education assistance, flex/HSA/dependent care FSA accounts, and a 529 plan.
