Job Overview

This position is focused on enhancing the quality of licensed childcare and early learning facilities through effective project management.

Position Summary:

The Project Program Specialist plays a crucial role in executing various initiatives within Childhood Services aimed at improving educational standards. Reporting directly to the Project Coordinator, this role is essential for the successful implementation of projects funded by external sources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct both in-person and virtual training sessions for early childhood educators to enhance curriculum delivery and foster positive adult-child interactions.
  • Provide ongoing coaching to participants to ensure effective application of training materials.
  • Assist in the creation of training resources and project documentation.
  • Contribute to the establishment and achievement of both short-term and long-term objectives related to Childhood Services initiatives.
  • Adhere to project protocols and compile necessary data for reporting and evaluation purposes.
  • Engage in the assessment and review of ongoing Childhood Services projects.
  • Set up a home office to manage essential files and documentation required for job responsibilities.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A comprehensive understanding of various instructional methodologies, from basic to advanced.
  • Expertise in best practices within early childhood education.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities and a collaborative spirit.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • The capability to formulate, plan, and execute both short and long-term objectives.
  • Organizational skills to prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, along with familiarity with web-based tools.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time role requiring 8 hours of work each day, Monday through Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends.
