FACILITIES ASSISTANT POSITION:

Reporting directly to the Facilities and Transportation Manager, the Facilities Assistant plays a crucial role in the upkeep and repair of all agency buildings, facilities, and vehicles. This position involves collaborating with fellow Facilities Assistants and contractors to ensure adherence to standards and regulations related to maintenance, transportation, and facilities management.

Qualifications and Experience

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
  • Preferred: A minimum of one year of experience in maintenance or facility services in settings such as educational institutions, childcare centers, restaurants, or healthcare facilities.
  • Preferred: At least one year of experience in vehicle maintenance, including knowledge of parts and supplies related to transportation equipment.
  • Skills in construction trades such as carpentry, painting, masonry, plumbing, and roofing are advantageous.
  • Some experience in office tasks, including record keeping, spreadsheets, and public interaction is preferred.

  • While executing the responsibilities of this position, the employee is regularly required to communicate effectively. The employee frequently needs to stand, walk, sit, and may need to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must be able to lift and/or move weights ranging from 10 to 30 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
