Position Overview

The role of the Project Implementation Specialist is crucial in enhancing the quality of licensed childcare facilities. This position is designed to support the execution of various initiatives within the Childhood Services department.

Position Summary:

The Project Implementation Specialist will work closely with the Project Coordinator to facilitate the effective delivery of training and support to early childhood educators. This position is funded through external sources and is subject to the availability of funds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver training sessions to early childhood program staff to enhance teaching practices.
  • Provide coaching and support to participants to ensure the successful application of training content.
  • Assist in the creation and revision of project materials.
  • Facilitate online training sessions as required.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of both short-term and long-term objectives related to Childhood Services projects.
  • Adhere to project protocols and compile necessary information for reporting and evaluation purposes.
  • Engage in the assessment and review of Childhood Services initiatives.
  • Establish a home office to maintain essential files and documentation.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess a formal education equivalent to a bachelor's degree in early childhood education, child development, or a related field, along with a minimum of three years of experience in an early childhood program serving children from birth to five years.

Skills and Competencies:

  • In-depth knowledge of diverse instructional strategies.
  • Familiarity with best practices in early childhood education.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient in planning and implementing project goals.
  • Organizational skills with the capacity to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of Arkansas Minimum Licensing Requirements and Core Competencies for Early Care and Education Professionals.
  • Experience in training and coaching early childhood program staff.

Work Schedule:

Standard working hours are 8 hours daily, Monday through Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends required.

This position requires travel throughout the state.
