Job Overview

Welcome to Insight Recruitment, where we are seeking a dynamic Project Manager with extensive experience in construction project management. As a key member of our team, you will oversee multiple ongoing projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Understands the entirety of a project's scope, and effectively builds an efficient plan of execution.
  • Collaboration: Collaborates with supporting workgroups to establish timelines and execute schedules.
  • Estimation and Budgeting: Participates in the creation of project estimates, final budgets, cost tracking and reconciliation.
  • Communication: Delivers consistent project-specific communications between contributing work groups and customers.
  • Relationship Building: Builds valued operational and financial relationships with partners, vendors, customers, and subcontractors.

Project Site Specific:

  • Site Readiness: Accountable for obtaining and confirming field measurements and assessing site readiness and condition.
  • Subcontractor Management: Collaborates with the Installation Manager in coordinating and management of work by subcontractors.
  • Value Engineering: Provide value engineering suggestions and solutions in collaboration with sales, installation, and customers.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure company services conduct themselves in a safe, positive, and professional manner always.
  • Documentation: Completes in detail all documentation related to safety-related close calls and incidents on and off site.

Administrative:

  • Documentation and Communication: Effectively document, communicate, and process project scope changes with supporting workgroups.
  • Budget Management: Proactively manage and monitor budgets, remedy variances, diagnose discrepancies, and resolve issues.
  • Calendar Management: Ensures field operations calendar is updated and daily reports on project progress are recorded.
  • Equipment Management: Monitor project equipment orders to ensure timely deliveries and communicate delays and changes.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and cultivate professional relationships that promote and add value to the brand.
  • Leadership and Culture: Provide leadership and support a positive collaborative work environment and culture.
  • Quality and Excellence: Fosters a work environment that promotes a world-class experience in every facet of our organization.

Desired Knowledge and Skills:

  • Construction Project Management: Background in all aspects of construction project management, including contracts, AIA billing, scheduling, reading blueprints, submittals, and building codes.
  • Institutional Construction: Experience working in the institutional construction field, inclusive of schools, hospitals, and government entities.
  • Food Service Equipment: Requires a hands-on, diverse knowledge of food preparation equipment, including ranges, freezers, refrigerators, steamers, ovens, hot holding units, cold holding units, fryers, etc.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ability to read, interpret, understand, and apply all relevant Federal, State, County, and City codes, statutes, rules, regulations, ordinances, policies, and procedures.
  • Organizational and Communication Skills: Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Project Management Software: Knowledgeable with Project Management software, preferred.
  • Computer Skills: Advance computer skills, including CRM and Microsoft Suite, Procore.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of the food service equipment industry required.
  • Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret blueprints and translate them into specific requirements.
  • Task Prioritization: Proven ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience: Associates degree with a minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience in project management, commercial food equipment business, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Communication and Time Management: Excellent communication (oral & written), time management, and organization skills with great attention to detail.
  • Attendance: Requires regular, predictable, and punctual attendance.
  • All Other Duties: All other duties as assigned.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as information regarding bid specifications, product information, etc. Proficiency in English language is required in order to effectively communicate with people at all levels.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
