The Integrated Aviation Solutions Group at Leidos is currently looking for an Overseas Technical Support Specialist. In this role, you will provide comprehensive support for various deployed radio frequency and satellite communication systems, along with IP networking and cryptographic devices, to facilitate effective communication for multiple aerial surveillance platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, integrate, troubleshoot, and manage HF, UHF, SATCOM, and radio communication systems along with their associated networks and cryptographic equipment.
  • Oversee the installation, configuration, integration, troubleshooting, and management of multiple sensor systems, networks, and user accounts.
  • Design, monitor, manage, and troubleshoot both internal and external networks, including encryptors and firewalls.
  • Assist the technical lead in tracking system requirements and development efforts, contributing to ongoing engineering improvements.
  • Report directly to the Technical and Site Lead, collaborating with operators, users, and military personnel to deliver communication services.
  • Maintain systems, develop preventive maintenance schedules, and conduct regular maintenance checks.
  • Additional responsibilities may include managing IT systems, routers, switches, cabling, desktop hardware, supporting VSAT systems and telecommunication devices, and creating outage reports and event logs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 4-8 years of engineering experience in Networking, VMware, or Microsoft servers. Alternatively, an additional 4 years of experience may substitute for a degree.
  • Security+ certification is mandatory; VCP, CCNA, or MSCE certifications are preferred.
  • Proficient in identifying issues and researching solutions.
  • A strong desire to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Must be eligible to obtain a passport or visa for international travel.
  • Willingness to travel both CONUS and OCONUS.
  • Prepared to work in challenging and hazardous environments.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours or non-standard hours with little notice.
  • Must successfully complete the CONUS Replacement Center course, which includes a deployment physical, immunizations, and training.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with an ACTIVE DoD Top Secret security clearance.

Preferred Experience:

Experience with HF/VHF/UHF/SHF radio systems, SATCOM equipment, radio networks, cryptographic devices, and RF test equipment is highly desirable. A solid understanding of networking equipment, IP networking, and sub-netting is essential, with knowledge of multicast and tunneling being a plus.

Compensation:

The pay range for this position is $68,000 to $124,550. This range serves as a general guideline and does not guarantee specific compensation. Factors influencing the offer may include job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, and internal equity.
