Role Overview:
The Senior SAP Basis Administrator plays a crucial role in overseeing the SAP environment. Key responsibilities include configuring, patching, monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting the SAP technical landscape continuously, along with managing the SAP transport system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the management of the SAP environment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with both functional and technical teams to address system configuration challenges.
  • Handle the installation, upgrades, and maintenance of SAP systems, including the design of interfaces between SAP and external systems.
  • Maintain the SAP Data Dictionary and database objects, while managing the migration of configurations into production.
  • Implement technical changes using best practices to minimize risks and enhance system performance.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and reconciliations for operating systems and applications.
  • Monitor system performance for effective capacity planning and business continuity.
  • Provide technical support and manage software upgrades for applications.
  • Research and recommend new technology products to management.
  • Design and configure tailored systems and applications for clients.
  • Administer, tune, and maintain HANA databases.
  • Coordinate backup and recovery processes for applications and databases.
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery plans, participating in routine exercises.
  • Assist in troubleshooting application, network, and operating system issues.
  • Support developers and system administrators in resolving technical challenges.
  • Manage developer key requests and OSS Service Connection Requests.
  • Collaborate with project teams to promote transports and manage deployments.
  • Provide support to management and fulfill additional assigned duties.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (no dual citizenship).
  • Possess an active Top Secret security clearance or be clearable.
  • Achieve or possess Security+ certification.
  • 5+ years of experience with Linux systems.
  • 10+ years in SAP application system administration.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with SAP Solution Manager.
  • Minimum of 2 full SAP life cycle development implementations.
  • 2+ years of experience in Agile development processes preferred.
  • Experience with SAP Basis support for large-scale enterprise systems such as S/4HANA, PI/PO, BTP, HANA, NWDI, Data Services, Solution Manager, and Enable Now.
  • Able to travel to client sites as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current or past experience with DoD projects (e.g., AESIP, LMP, GCSS, GFEBs) is desirable.
