POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Cybersecurity Assurance Specialist will collaborate with a skilled team of IT experts to uphold a secure cloud infrastructure for critical systems.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assess software and hardware during pre-acquisition to ensure compliance with essential security standards.
  • Prepare and submit necessary cybersecurity authorization documents to achieve project milestones.
  • Conduct cybersecurity assessments to align with current manuals and guidelines.
  • Monitor system resources and implement automated reporting for cybersecurity compliance.
  • Ensure patch compliance and coordinate with administrators to resolve issues promptly.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive security documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures and risk management plans.
  • Engage in regular updates with stakeholders regarding cybersecurity status and requirements.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:

A DoD Secret clearance is mandatory prior to commencement.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 4 years in Information Assurance, or a master's degree with 2 years of relevant experience.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification.
  • In-depth knowledge of NIST standards and cybersecurity practices.
  • Experience in managing risks associated with information systems.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies.
  • Experience with RMF 2.0 authorization processes.
  • Possession of advanced DoD 8570 IAT Level III certifications.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively between technical teams and business stakeholders.
