Job Summary:

Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services is seeking an experienced Staff Development Coordinator to join our team. As a Staff Development Coordinator, you will play a critical role in promoting a challenging and rewarding work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Staff Development Program Coordination: Develop and implement a comprehensive staff development program that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Personnel Health Services: Provide personnel health services, including health screenings and wellness programs, to promote a healthy work environment.
  • Orientation and Training: Design and deliver orientation programs for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition into their roles.
  • Training and Development: Conduct training sessions on bloodborne pathogens, hazard communication standards, and other critical topics to ensure staff are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills.
  • Nurse Aide Training Program: Serve as the primary instructor for the Nurse Aide Training Program, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Workshop and In-Service Coordination: Coordinate and schedule workshops, in-services, and continuing education classes to promote staff development and engagement.
  • Incident Reporting and Review: Assist the Nursing Management Team in reviewing incident reports to identify areas for improvement.
  • Charge Nurse and Supervisor: Work as a charge nurse and/or supervisor as needed to ensure seamless operations during nursing emergencies.

Requirements:

  • Education: Registered Nurse (RN) degree from an accredited School of Nursing with a current, valid RN license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
  • Experience: Five years of nursing experience in a long-term care setting, and/or nursing education experience.
  • Skills: Ability to provide quality nursing care, genuine interest in geriatric nursing, and CPR certification.
  • Leadership: Ability to supervise nursing staff, make decisions regarding nursing problems, and teach, instruct, and direct orientation, continuing education, and in-services.
  • Communication: Ability to read, know, and follow personnel, department, and facility procedures, and adhere to local, state, and federal requirements.
