We are seeking an experienced Staff Development Coordinator - RN to join our team at Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the staff development program for the facility, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Act as the primary personnel health nurse, providing medical guidance and support to staff members.
- Develop and implement orientation programs for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition into their roles.
- Conduct training sessions on blood-borne pathogens, hazard communication standards, and other essential topics.
- Collaborate with the Nursing Management Team to review incident reports and implement corrective actions.
- Supervise nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Develop and deliver in-service training programs to enhance staff knowledge and skills.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with a current, valid RN license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
- Five years of nursing experience in a long-term care setting, with a strong background in geriatric nursing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- CPR certification and ability to maintain current certifications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
