Departmental Role:
The City Manager's Office provides strategic oversight and professional management across the entire municipal framework, collaborating closely with the City Council to execute policies that improve the quality of life for residents.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the City's communication initiatives, including the creation and management of social media content, preparation and editing of newsletters, and updating departmental web pages.
- Manage and implement assigned programs, agreements, requests for proposals, and various special projects.
- Conduct research and provide administrative assistance within the department to ensure smooth operations.
- Engage in project and policy analysis through research, identifying key issues, and summarizing findings.
- Assist in budget preparation, analysis, and management.
- Prepare and assist in the development of City Council agenda items, reports, and grant proposals.
- Deliver presentations to diverse audiences, effectively conveying essential information.
- Work independently and collaboratively on departmental programs, projects, and activities.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Familiarity with applicable Federal, State, and Local laws, codes, rules, and regulations.
- Understanding of community outreach principles.
- Knowledge of budgeting and contract management principles.
- Proficiency in research and statistical methods, project management, and analytical techniques.
- Strong report writing skills.

Technical Proficiency:
- Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in developing proposals and managing budgets.
- Ability to collect, analyze, and present data effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with colleagues, supervisors, and the public.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field and three years of related professional experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience that enables the successful performance of the essential duties of the position. A Master's degree is preferred.
