Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Property Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations related to our commercial real estate properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare financial statements, budget analysis, and financial forecasting for our commercial real estate properties.
  • Utilize Yardi property management software to manage all accounting processes efficiently and accurately.
  • Manage the General Ledger (GL) and ensure all financial transactions are correctly recorded, reconciled, and reported.
  • Lead the year-end close process, including the preparation of accurate and timely year-end financial reports.
  • Handle all accounting matters related to shopping centers, including lease administration, tenant billing, and CAM reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to develop and implement financial strategies and policies.
  • Liaise with auditors to ensure the proper conduct of annual audits.
  • Provide financial advice and strategic input to the senior management team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the Commercial Real Estate industry.
  • Extensive experience with Yardi property management software, General Ledger (GL) management, year-end close process, and Shopping Center accounting.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax laws, and financial reporting rules.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Superior organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
  • A proactive problem-solver with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • A team player with a positive attitude and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
