Job Summary
The Facilities Planning Analyst coordinates the financing and planning of school construction and renovation projects, administering community facility districts, negotiating with public agencies on requests for easements, providing financing recommendations for the development of contracts for professional services, establishing and maintaining a system to administer, maintain, and account for all bond program funds, including General Obligation bonds, Community Facilities Districts, statutory school fees and state school building program.
Requirements / Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree from a recognized college with a major in business, public administration, urban planning, real estate, architecture, finance, accounting, or a closely related field is required. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on the basis of 30 semester or 45 quarter units of education for each additional year of experience.
Three years of professional experience, preferably in a California public school district, requiring the analysis, research and review of financial, administrative and facility planning support systems that include experience in urban planning, real estate finance, construction project management, or architectural planning, and experience in establishing and maintaining automated financial and management information and reporting systems.
Examination Process
Completed applications are reviewed and candidates who meet the minimum qualifications participate in an examination process. Exam components may consist of a multiple choice exam (weighted at 20%), a Performance Exam (weighted at 30%) and a Qualifications Appraisal Interview (weighted at 50%).
Candidates who pass all exams are placed on an eligibility list in order of overall exam score. The list is used to fill current and future vacancies for six months. The job posting will open until an eligibility list is established.
Veterans may be eligible for preference points on entrance examinations. Please attach a copy of your DD214 to your application.
Employment with San Dieguito Union High School District is contingent upon successful completion of post-offer background check, fingerprinting, physical exam including tuberculosis, drug and alcohol screening, and an Oath of Allegiance.
The probationary period for a new or promotional employee is six months or 130 days of paid service, whichever is longer.
