Firefighter (BLS/Hazmat Technician)

Unified Strategic Resources is seeking a highly skilled Firefighter (BLS/Hazmat Technician) to join our team. As a key member of our emergency response team, you will be responsible for performing structural firefighting duties, airfield firefighting, and operating a variety of firefighting equipment.

• Perform structural firefighting duties for various facilities, including detecting and reducing potential fire hazards.
• Operate a range of firefighting equipment, including standby duty during aircraft engine testing, welding, and ammunition handling.
• Combat fires or rescue personnel on board ships in challenging and dangerous situations.
• Participate in medical surveillance programs and wear personal protective equipment as required.

• Must be a US Citizen and determined suitable for federal employment.
• Must participate in the direct deposit pay program and successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
• Must not have reached their 37th birthday by date of appointment and meet the requirements for firefighter positions.
• Must possess the following certifications: Firefighter I and II, Airport Firefighter, HAZMAT Operations Apparatus Driver Operator-Pumper, Driver Operator ARFF, Driver Operator Aerial, and Nationally Registered EMT-Basic.

To be eligible for this position, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-6 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Your resume must demonstrate the following: performing rescue operations, detecting and reducing potential fire hazards, performing standby duty, and participating in medical surveillance programs.
