We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Representative to join our team at The Sherwin-Williams Company. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with customers in a specific geographic territory, with a focus on wood coatings sales.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute a territory market strategy to achieve sales goals and grow market share
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, including product demonstrations and competitive product comparisons
- Conduct sales calls, identify new business opportunities, and develop strategies to secure new accounts
- Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, technical, and manufacturing management, to ensure effective communication and execution of sales strategies
- Manage and maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales calls, and expense reports
- Identify and address customer complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner
- High school education or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in a business-related field preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of internal and external contacts
- Ability to interface effectively with sales, technical, and manufacturing management
- Training and utilization of project management techniques, value selling, and six sigma tools
- Knowledge of the wood adhesives market and wood coatings (surfacers, stains, pigmented finishes, sealers) used in this marketplace
- Ability to sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis
- Ability to walk, write, and type on a frequent basis
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
- Ability to climb and descend stairs
- Ability to bend, carry, reach, push, and pull on an occasional basis
