IT Support Engineer, Hardware Asset Management

Okta is seeking a skilled IT Support Engineer to join our Business Technology organization. This role plays a critical part in realizing our vision to accelerate the delivery of business outcomes across Okta by driving clarity, collaboration, and accountability in everything we do.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the lifecycle of hardware assets, including inventory, procurement, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with IT and procurement teams to optimize asset utilization, troubleshoot hardware issues, and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
  • Provide technical support for Level 1 to Level 3 technical issues, including troubleshooting and resolving problems.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition and seamless integration into the company culture and workflow.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT support or a related technical role.
  • Proficient in Windows and Mac OS platforms.
  • Collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work closely with procurement and finance teams to ensure alignment on purchasing strategies and budgetary goals.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in overseeing vendor relationships, including negotiating contracts, managing performance, and ensuring timely delivery of services and products.
  • Knowledge of Okta, Jamf, and Intune for effective management and security of user identities, devices, and applications.
  • Skilled in providing support to executives and high-profile stakeholders.

Okta offers a competitive annual base salary range of $70,000-$104,000 USD for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington. In addition, we offer equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave.
