At Beebe Healthcare, we are committed to delivering outstanding surgical care to our patients. Our Operating Room Surgical Technicians play a vital role in assisting surgeons and nurses during surgical procedures, ensuring that the operating room operates efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare surgical suites for procedures, ensuring all instruments, equipment, and supplies are properly sterilized and organized.
  • Assist the surgical team by passing instruments and supplies during operations, anticipating the needs of the surgeon while maintaining a sterile environment.
  • Set up and operate specialized surgical devices, adhering to manufacturer guidelines and safety protocols.
  • Maintain aseptic technique throughout surgical procedures, including proper draping, gowning, and gloving to prevent infection.
  • Assist with patient positioning and preparation, applying sterile drapes and securing equipment as directed.
  • Respond to emergency situations in the operating room, providing additional supplies or assistance as required.
  • Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of procedures, communicating effectively with all team members.
  • Assist with post-operative tasks, including wound closure and dressing application, following established protocols.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities, maintaining accurate records of surgical procedures and patient care documentation.
  • Adhere to hospital policies and safety protocols, promoting a culture of safety and accountability in the operating room.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited surgical technology program preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in a hospital setting; preference for candidates with current operating room experience.
  • Knowledge of surgical procedures, instrumentation, and sterile techniques.
  • Ability to anticipate the surgeon's needs and adapt to changing priorities during procedures.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, capable of collaborating effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards in patient care.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Credentials
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential preferred.
  • BLS - Basic Life Saving Certification.
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in sterile processing preferred.
  • Graduated from a Surgical Technology program.
Compensation

Starting at USD $24.62/Hr.
