Role Overview: Operating Room Surgical Technician
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare surgical environments for operations, ensuring all tools are sanitized and ready
- Support the surgical team by passing instruments and upholding a sterile environment
- Set up and manage specialized surgical apparatus
- Ensure aseptic techniques are maintained throughout procedures
- Assist in positioning patients and handling emergencies
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance workflow efficiency
- Engage in post-operative duties and quality control measures
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory
- Familiarity with surgical processes and sterile methods
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities
- Capability to lift weights up to 50 lbs
Certifications and Education:
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) is essential
- BLS - Basic Life Support Certification is required
Compensation:
Starting at USD $24.62 per hour
