The Case Manager II plays a vital role in delivering financial assessment services to newly incarcerated individuals, adhering to contractual obligations and the principles of GEO Reentry Services. These services are provided in a correctional facility setting.
Main Duties:
- Engage in necessary training for assigned responsibilities.
- Conduct interviews with newly admitted individuals using the designated financial assessment tool.
- Utilize the case management system to document financial assessment results.
- Record findings to evaluate the individual's financial capability regarding bail.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Essential Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; a Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, sociology, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of two years of experience in a correctional environment is required.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is necessary.
- Understanding of effective intervention principles that have been shown to reduce recidivism.
- Ability to collaborate with a team of professionals and implement strategic approaches to assignments.
- Capability to interact professionally with correctional staff.
- Flexibility, cooperation, and empathy towards the needs of both staff and individuals in custody.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to learn and apply facility rules and procedures.
- Proficiency in using computers and relevant software.
