Job Title: Team Lead Hunting

Job Summary:
As a Team Lead at Bass Pro Shops, you will be responsible for providing daily direction to associates in one of our departments, ensuring a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers. You will support the Group Sales or Department Manager in achieving departmental sales, gross margin, inventory shrinkage, and payroll goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support the GSM/DM in achieving departmental sales, gross margin, inventory shrinkage, and payroll goals.
  2. Provide daily direction to associates within the department.
  3. Prepare to-do/task lists and execute all merchandising directives.
  4. Ensure a high level of personal customer service and achieve better than company average customer service results.
  5. Remain a product expert through ongoing product knowledge training and conduct product demos to the entire staff.
  6. Assist the GSM/DM with coordination of all special events, maintenance of pricing and UPC integrity, determining proper assortments, accuracy of inventory, and proper display, signing, and pricing of all advertised items.
  7. Perform supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, training, planning, assigning, and directing work, measuring and evaluating performance, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.

Requirements:
  1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
  2. 2-4 years of experience in retail sales.
  3. Supervisory experience is a plus.
  4. Ability to calculate figures and amounts, read and analyze reports, present information, and conduct meetings and presentations.
  5. Proficiency with PC-based word processing, spreadsheets, data-based management, and electronic point of sale and inventory management systems.
  6. Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
