Role Responsibilities and QualificationsAs a full-time Certified Respiratory Care Specialist working NIGHTS with weekend rotations, you will:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including evaluating breath sounds and airway integrity.
- Administer respiratory therapies such as oxygen delivery and aerosol treatments.
- Assist in the placement of artificial airways and manage mechanical ventilation.
- Monitor patient responses to therapy and take appropriate actions when necessary.
- Facilitate the safe transportation of patients requiring ventilatory support.
- Respond to emergency situations, ensuring airway management and adequate ventilation.
Qualifications:
- Associate Degree or relevant certification.
- State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
- BCLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
- ACLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
- PALS certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
