Position Overview: The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center is actively seeking a dedicated Full-time Psychiatrist. This role is available at the faculty rank of Assistant Professor or higher and encompasses a variety of responsibilities including clinical care, supervision of trainees, and contributions to departmental and university service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide primary clinical care in adult outpatient psychiatry.
- Engage in inpatient adult consultation liaison psychiatry.
- Supervise and mentor residents, fellows, and medical students.
- Participate in departmental and university service activities.
- Contribute to teaching and educational initiatives.
Qualifications:
- MD or DO or equivalent degree.
- Board certification or eligibility is required.
- Completion of an accredited residency or equivalent as permitted by state law.
- Sub-specialty certifications or additional training are highly preferred.
- Must possess current licensure as a Physician in Tennessee and a valid DEA certification number.
- Eligible for malpractice insurance.
