Job Title: Addiction Psychiatrist Faculty Position

The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center is seeking a part-time Addiction Psychiatrist to join a developing program in addiction treatment and research.

Job Summary:

The position is at the faculty rank of Assistant Professor or above, and consists of addiction clinical care, clinical supervision of trainees, teaching, and protected time for clinical addiction research.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide addiction clinical care to patients
  • Supervise trainees in addiction clinical care
  • Teach addiction-related courses
  • Conduct clinical addiction research
Requirements:
  • Medical Doctor degree
  • Board certification or Board eligibility in Psychiatry
  • Completion of an accredited residency in Psychiatry
  • Sub-certifications/training in addiction psychiatry highly preferred
  • Current unrestricted licensure as a Physician in Tennessee
  • Current certification DEA number
  • Eligible for malpractice insurance
