Position: Generative AI Trust and Safety Analyst

Location: Remote

Contract Duration: 12 Months

Project Overview

The Trust and Safety team is dedicated to fostering a secure environment for our generative AI initiatives. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders, including non-profit organizations, academic institutions, and industry experts, to incorporate their perspectives into our policy frameworks and product strategies. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of the AI regulatory landscape and its societal impacts. Strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and a proactive approach to managing complex projects are essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute both virtual and in-person policy events related to AI, overseeing budgets, timelines, and logistical arrangements while shaping event agendas.
  • Work in partnership with cross-functional teams to ensure events align with organizational objectives.
  • Create standardized templates and processes for diverse event formats, integrating feedback to enhance attendee experiences.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including contract negotiations and performance assessments, to optimize partnerships.
  • Develop and implement strategies for engaging with advocacy groups, researchers, and think tanks to influence generative AI product policies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders focused on AI safety and generative AI.
  • Stay informed on public discussions surrounding generative AI and AI safety by synthesizing relevant research and policy documents.
  • Participate in the policy on-call roster to address urgent policy inquiries, demonstrating critical thinking and sound judgment under pressure.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in law, public policy, communications, business, computer science, or AI.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in operations, project management, or program management within technology firms, civil society, or governmental entities.
  • Proven track record in managing projects, monitoring tasks, and ensuring deliverables are met.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Spanish, Hindi, Portuguese, or French is a plus.

Compensation:

The estimated pay range for this role is USD $47.00/Hr - USD $50.00/Hr and is classified as a Non-Exempt position.
