Contract Duration: 12 Months

Project Overview

The Content Policy Stakeholder Engagement team at Milestone Technologies, Inc. works in partnership with non-governmental organizations, advocacy groups, scholars, and thought leaders globally to incorporate their insights into our policy and product development strategies. In this role, you will engage with the team focused on generative AI products and challenges to implement and deliver on significant projects. A solid grasp of the AI policy landscape, including the societal and political ramifications of AI technology, is essential. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, manage intricate logistics effectively, and demonstrate a highly organized work ethic. This is a full-time contractual role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, plan, and execute both online and offline policy events related to AI, including managing budgets, timelines, payments, and logistics, while shaping the event agenda.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to produce events that align with team objectives.
  • Create a suite of standard templates and processes for various event types, incorporating feedback to enhance event procedures and attendee experiences.
  • Act as a vendor manager, negotiating contracts with suppliers, evaluating vendor performance, and optimizing vendor collaboration.
  • Develop and implement engagement strategies with advocacy groups, scholars, and think tanks to influence Milestone Technologies' Generative AI product policies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders focused on generative AI and AI safety.
  • Stay informed on public discourse surrounding generative AI and AI safety by synthesizing key research and policy documents on these subjects.
  • Participate in the policy on-call roster to address policy inquiries on high-priority escalations, demonstrating critical thinking and sound judgment under pressure.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in law, public policy, communications, business, computer science, or AI.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in operations, project management, or program management within technology firms, civil society organizations, or government.
  • Proven ability to manage projects, tasks, and track deliverables effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in analytical thinking and problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in reading, writing, or speaking Spanish, Hindi, Portuguese, or French is a plus.
