Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting our residents in all aspects of daily living, providing person-centered care to ensure we meet all of our resident's needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a holistic approach, supporting the residents' physical, spiritual, emotional, and clinical needs
  • Provide day-to-day Physical Therapy treatments to meet resident's needs in all settings across the Erickson Senior Living community continuum of care
  • Follow Medicare, state and federal regulations, APTA, and company policies and procedures and ensure departmental understanding and compliance in the areas of care provision, documentation, billing reimbursement, resident rights, customer service, and compliance
  • Implement residents' personal care plans, focusing on residents' strengths, preferences, and preferred routines, while providing a sense of comfort, companionship, and belonging
  • Work with the interdisciplinary clinical team to ensure the needs of our residents are being addressed throughout their care

Requirements

  • Minimum of an associate's degree in physical therapy assistant program is required. Degree and training must meet current Medicare and state personnel requirements for Physical Therapy Assistants
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Experience in the therapeutic care of the older adult across multiple diagnostic groups is preferred
  • A valid current state license (for the state in which the community provides service) in physical therapy, where applicable
