Role Summary:
The position involves delivering precise and effective transaction services to clients while managing and reconciling all financial instruments processed. The role also includes supporting overall branch operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet clients at the bank with a warm and welcoming demeanor.
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, and check endorsements.
- Handle loan payments, issue money orders, cashier's checks, and foreign currency transactions.
- Ensure all transactions comply with authorized limits, obtaining necessary approvals when required.
- Utilize product knowledge to assist both new and existing clients with their banking inquiries.
- Perform additional tasks as needed in line with the role.
Position Requirements:
- Preferred one year of experience in a teller role, with a background in cash handling or customer service.
- Proficient in computer operations, including keyboard and ten-key pad usage, with basic knowledge of bank-wide systems.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, capable of engaging with a diverse clientele.
- High school diploma or equivalent, with a preferred minimum GPA of 3.0.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
The physical demands outlined here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully execute the essential functions of this role. Reasonable accommodations may be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions.
While fulfilling the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to communicate effectively. Frequent use of hands and fingers is necessary to handle objects and tools. Occasional requirements include standing, walking, sitting, reaching, climbing, and lifting or moving up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this role include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The typical noise level in the work environment is moderate.
