Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team at Denver Health. As a key member of our Neonatology Division, you will provide exceptional care to infants in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Well Baby Nursery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to infants in the NICU and Well Baby Nursery, including follow-up planning and chart documentation.
  • Participate in night call and respond to resuscitations and emergencies in the delivery room and NICU.
  • Assist residents with procedures and teach medical, physician assistant, and nursing students, as well as pediatric and family medicine residents.
  • Participate in administrative staff meetings and contribute to programmatic initiatives in the NICU and Nursery.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies.
  • Highly experienced in newborn resuscitation, placement of arterial and venous lines, and chest tubes.
  • Required and additional experience in managing therapeutic hypothermia and post-surgical babies preferred.
  • Licenses: PA-Physician Assistant/NP - Nurse Practitioner/NNP-Neonatal Nurse Practitioner - State Medical Board Required and BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) - AHA - American Heart Association Required.
