Gastro Care Partners is a leading gastroenterology practice with a strong commitment to empowering healthcare professionals. We are seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Advanced Practice Provider will work collaboratively with our healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care. This role involves examining and treating patients independently, as well as assisting physicians in diagnosis and treatment. The APP will also be responsible for supporting the day and evening call schedule when necessitated by physician schedule/hospital needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine and diagnose patients, ordering and interpreting diagnostic test results as needed.
  • Assist physicians in proper diagnosis and management/treatment of patients.
  • Collect, record, and maintain accurate patient information.
  • Prescribe and administer medications and appropriate therapies.
  • Advise patients on methods of disease prevention, prescribed medication, and health maintenance.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the digestive system and stay current with new developments in the field.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • National Board Certification required.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Experience with GI or pain treatment preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, electronic health systems, and databases such as EPIC required.
  • Knowledge of GCP, federal, state, and local regulations, including HIPAA policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements:

  • Continually moves around a medical center/healthcare environment 90% of the time.
  • Consistently grasps, moves, or assembles small objects.
  • Make quick, precise adjustments and manipulate machines and controls.
  • Consistently uses computers and relays information verbally and through email, messages, and phone.
  • Frequently communicates with others and exchanges information on an on-going basis.
  • Must be able to lift/move up to 50 lbs.
