Shipboard Air Conditioning Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Shipboard Air Conditioning Professional to join our team at THOR Solutions, LLC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch technical support and maintenance services for the US Navy's auxiliary systems.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the operation, troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and assessing of US Navy Auxiliary equipment, including high-pressure manifolds, low-pressure manifolds, bleed air systems, masker air systems, prairie air systems, dehumidifiers, sonar dome pressurization systems, centrifugal air conditioning plants, reciprocating A/C plants, ship's service refrigeration system, chilled water pumps, high-pressure air compressors, low-pressure air compressors, medium-pressure air compressors, weapon systems air compressors, emergency breathing air compressors, high-pressure breathing air compressors, de-ballast air compressors, self-contained breathing apparatus air compressors, and LP/HP dehydrators.
Your primary responsibility will be to provide full-time onsite contracted support to the Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) in Norfolk, VA, as well as surge support as tasked. You will conduct fleet technical assistance on-site or via distance support, including engineering/technical evaluations, equipment functional checks, troubleshooting, testing, analysis, and equipment repairs as tasked. Additionally, you will conduct assessments and grooms determining equipment condition and out-of-specification settings, observe operation of the equipment by ship's force to witness the full range of performance, when possible, utilize appropriate measuring equipment to obtain data for evaluation, evaluate findings, and make adjustments and repairs to the maximum extent possible during the time available.
You will also provide onboard maintenance training (OBMT) to Ship's Force technicians in the operation, repair, and maintenance. Perform/provide support during shipboard auxiliary systems tasking including TSRA, INSURV, and Tech Assist events. The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- At least 5 years of recent, relevant hands-on mechanical experience within the last 7 years in the operation, troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and assessing of US Navy Auxiliary equipment
- Possess an EPA 608 Universal Certification to handle/work with refrigerant
- Proficient using general and special-purpose electronic test equipment to perform organizational-level maintenance
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of Navy assessment programs, visit processes, and reporting methods for visits
- Demonstrate regularly using accepted current instrumentation for diagnosing equipment
- Demonstrate ability for interpreting wiring diagrams and control schematics
- Ability to utilize computers, including the Microsoft Office Suite, for compiling information for reports and history files and transfer digital pictures from camera to computer and enhance as required and label them for report purposes
- Demonstrated ability to interpret wiring diagrams, control schematics, and plans and the ability as Subject Matter Expert (SME) to troubleshoot, analyze, and provide distance support for listed equipment
