Job Title: Cardiovascular Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Technologist to join our team at Nuvance Health. As a Cardiovascular Technologist, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of heart disease.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the performance of invasive cardiovascular procedures, including angioplasty, under the direction of a qualified physician.
  • Prepare surgical trays and materials for procedures.
  • Monitor patient hemodynamic status and ECG, collect and enter patient information, and generate reports.
  • Obtain informed consent from patients and educate them on the procedure.
  • Prepare and position patients for procedures, connect monitoring devices, and document in patient medical records.
  • Assist with arterial closure devices and sheath removal.
  • Act as a resource for other staff members in the use and troubleshooting of technical equipment.
  • Collect data for the ACC-NCDR and Connecticut Registry databases.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Basic computer skills and experience in endovascular, interventional, and diagnostic procedures.
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) preferred.
