Aerospace Design Specialist

The Spacecraft Structural Analyst will be responsible for analyzing load paths from conceptual design to hardware creation, integrating structural analysis with loads and dynamics environments, and developing Finite Element Models. The successful candidate will also perform strength checks and generate analysis reports, create test and verification plans and reports, and support configuration development and trade studies.
Key Qualifications:
• Minimum of a B.S. Degree in mechanical, aerospace or civil engineering
• 12+ years of experience in Structural static/dynamic fundamentals
• Passion for spacecraft structural/environmental loads development/validation
• Ability to solve a variety of static and dynamic structural problems using physics-based analytical methods (hand calculations, in-house tools, and 3rd party commercial analytical tools)
• Experience with aircraft, spacecraft, launch vehicle, or automotive in some of the following areas: External loads, Vibro-acoustic analysis, Thermal loads, Analysis using Nastran, Ansys, Abaqus, LS-Dyna, or Optistruct
