Job Title: Clinical Social Worker

At Adventist Health, we are seeking a skilled Clinical Social Worker to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide psychosocial assessments, diagnosis, and treatment to patients and families, helping them cope with their hospitalization, illness, diagnosis, treatment, and life situation.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to identify emotional, social, and environmental strengths and problems related to patients' diagnosis, illness, treatment, and life situation.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive psychosocial treatment plans utilizing appropriate clinical social work treatments and interventions.
  • Provide crisis intervention, brief and long-term individual, marital, family, and group therapies, as well as grief and bereavement work.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary healthcare teams and provide leadership in representing clinical social work perspective and liaison with patients and families.
  • Document assessment plans, interactions, and interventions according to departmental, hospital, and health system guidelines and standards.
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in Social Work: Required
  • Three years' experience with clinical responsibility, including crisis intervention, individual and group psychotherapy: Preferred
  • Experience in working with behavioral health clients providing direct assessment, diagnosis formulation, treatment planning, treatment intervention, and education to members and/or family members: Preferred
Essential Functions:
  • Provides psychosocial assessments of patients and families to identify emotional, social, and environmental strengths and problems related to their diagnosis, illness, treatment, and/or life situation.
  • Formulates, develops, and implements a comprehensive psychosocial treatment plan utilizing appropriate clinical social work treatments and interventions.
  • Participates in multi-disciplinary health care teams and provide leadership in representing clinical social work perspective/liaison with patient and family.
  • Documents assessment plans, interactions, and interventions according to departmental, hospital and/or health system guidelines and standards.
