Position Summary

We are in search of a dynamic, experienced trainer to join our regional training team, focusing on our direct care staff who support individuals with developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong public speaking skills and a passion for training, staying current with the latest tools and resources to enhance employee development and performance. Our Talent Development Specialists/Trainers play a vital role in ensuring quality service delivery and are responsible for providing specialized training for staff, which includes:

  • Conducting new employee orientation and annual mandatory training across the region.
  • Leading virtual training sessions via platforms such as Zoom, GoToMeeting, and Teams, while assisting staff with any technical difficulties.
  • Utilizing various software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, etc.) effectively.
  • Updating our Learning Management System with training completions, class schedules, and essential data.
  • Overseeing all training components, including schedules, documentation, and materials.
  • Maintaining open and direct communication with all staff levels regarding training requirements and needs.
  • Providing support to fellow trainers and assisting with organizational and departmental in-service training.
  • Collaboratively coordinating training services and resources with staff to maximize benefits for individuals served, programs, and staff.
Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

  • A minimum of two years of experience or education related to teaching, staff training, and the development of training programs/curricula for virtual presentations.
  • Certification in required training programs, including but not limited to CPR, CBRF - First Aid with choking, CBRF Fire Safety, CBRF Standard Precautions, CPI Mandt, and other state or Dungarvin-required programs.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in communication and interpersonal skills, along with strong decision-making, time management, and organizational abilities.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary to conduct training sessions.
  • Availability to work during standard business hours, with potential evening training sessions as needed.
