Job Summary

CMI Media Group is seeking a highly skilled Financial Director to lead the Client Finance department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management and experience in the media industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Client Finance team to ensure the highest quality of financial service to clients.
  • Develop and implement processes for client billing and financial reporting.
  • Partner with CMI account teams and internal departments on pricing scenarios, annual forecasting, and updates.
  • Oversee the management of budget trackers, SOW trackers, actual hours/expenses vs. estimated, staffing hours, and aging reports.
  • Provide financial consultation to cross-functional teams regarding financial kick-off, monthly estimate vs actual tracking, billing, and actualization.
  • Ensure client staffing resources are aligned with current SOWs and provide recommendations for adjustments.
  • Develop accurate staff recruiting forecasts for client teams, including succession planning, organic growth, and new business.
  • Oversee the monthly billing process and approval for client invoicing.
  • Maintain current client Purchase Order #s (PO#s) and investigate/resolve any issues.
  • Establish client and/or capability specific processes to ensure efficiencies.
  • Perform routine human resource administrative tasks for Client Finance team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and/or 5-7 years of prior financial management or media experience, and prior management and marketing/communications industry experience.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in all online and offline media functions.
  • Extensive understanding of marketing concepts, specifically in the pharmaceutical and patient markets.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally, manage teams, and supervise professionals.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Strong project management skills and time management skills.
  • Ability to problem solve and provide alternative solutions.
  • Interest/passion to work with numbers/finances.
