This role is situated within the General Accountability Office, focusing on Program Support.

As a Financial Performance Auditor, your primary responsibility will be to conduct assessments and provide insights related to the financial programs, accounting systems, operational processes, and shared services managed by the agency.

To qualify, candidates must fulfill the following criteria within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement:

Experience can be acquired through public, private sector, or volunteer work. One year of experience is defined as full-time employment; part-time roles will be evaluated on a prorated basis.

Specialized experience for the GS-13 level is characterized as one year of experience at the GS-12 level, or an equivalent role that is directly pertinent to the position and has provided the candidate with the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to effectively execute the responsibilities of the role.

Specialized experience is described as orchestrating and managing internal control and financial oversight review initiatives for an organization.

Examples of relevant experience may include:
Designing and executing technical audits/reviews while acting as a subject matter authority on audit/review standards;

Drafting or evaluating audit reports and supplementary documentation to illustrate control weaknesses;

Delivering briefings/presentations on the application of pertinent laws, regulations, policies, or accounting/audit standards to address compliance or corrective action issues.


Additionally, candidates must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-13 level, candidates must have served at the GS-12 level for a minimum of 52 weeks.
