Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated individual to manage the procurement process, ensuring compliance with company policies while effectively liaising with internal and external stakeholders. This role is crucial for the timely processing of purchase orders and the accurate management of shipping documentation. The selected candidate will also serve as the key point of contact for inventory control, collaborating closely with finance and production teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the processing of purchase orders, ensuring adherence to company protocols.
  • Facilitate the approval of shipping receipts, verifying documentation accuracy.
  • Act as the inventory control liaison between finance and production departments.
  • Manage the supply chain operations, including purchasing fulfillment and inventory oversight.
  • Coordinate material requirements, supporting various departments to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Utilize approved purchasing methods for various procurement scenarios.
  • Maintain accurate material costing within the inventory management system.
  • Review and approve material receiving documentation, ensuring alignment with purchase orders.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in ERP systems, with a preference for Great Plains.
  • Utilize Microsoft applications effectively, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Communicate vendor programs and issues to the Purchasing Manager.
  • Assist in developing a tracking system for orders and receipts.
  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting.

  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.
  • Professional communication skills, capable of engaging with all organizational levels and external vendors.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with experience in report generation for inventory tracking.
  • Adaptable, with a willingness to cross-train in various departments to support organizational goals.
