Job Summary:

The Major League Baseball Youth Academy is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Athletic Trainer to join our team. As an Athletic Trainer, you will play a critical role in the prevention, assessment, treatment, and reconditioning of athletic injuries in our youth athletes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive athletic training programs to prevent injuries and promote overall health and wellness in our youth athletes.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of injuries and develop treatment plans to ensure optimal recovery and return to play.
  • Collaborate with our coaching staff and medical team to provide expert advice on injury prevention and management.
  • Recruit and coordinate athletic training programs for our youth athletes, including workouts, leagues, and tournaments.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local medical services and doctors to ensure the wellbeing of our youth athletes.
  • Work with local universities to place students into viable athletic training programs and serve as a resource to train student trainers.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of curriculum for athletic training programs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a health-related field.
  • Certification by the National Athletic Trainers' Association.
  • Curriculum development background.
  • Administration-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Athletic background with coaching or scouting experience.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and customer service.

Travel Requirements:

25% local overnight travel expected around All-Star and Spring Break events.
