Key Responsibilities:
The Head of Supply Chain Operations will spearhead supply planning, supplier engagement, and logistics initiatives. This role involves crafting strategies and processes that align with corporate objectives while guiding the team towards successful execution. The individual will oversee the entire supply chain, focusing on productivity, efficiency, risk management, cost reduction, and fostering relationships that support the company’s strategic goals. Key duties include:
- Leading and nurturing a skilled supply chain team by providing clear direction, setting performance standards, and coaching for excellence.
- Developing a vision and strategy for the supply chain leadership function, collaborating with senior leaders across various departments to achieve organizational objectives.
- Working closely with demand planning, product line leadership, engineering, operations, and finance teams to ensure cross-functional alignment.
- Guiding the team in:
- Identifying opportunities to enhance processes, guidelines, and policies for effective supplier management, order fulfillment, inventory control, and logistics.
- Recognizing business risks and implementing scalable solutions within the supply chain management framework.
- Building and maintaining executive-level relationships with suppliers and partners to ensure contractual adherence and accountability.
- Fostering a culture of continuous improvement aimed at achieving operational predictability and efficiency.
- Establishing performance monitoring and KPI programs to effectively assess the performance of both internal teams and external partners.
- Supporting the professional development of team members to align individual competencies with organizational goals.
Qualifications:
- Over 10 years of global supply chain management experience, including expertise in ODM, EMS, and strategic supply chain planning.
- Proven track record in building, leading, and developing high-performing teams, with experience in scaling international supply chain operations.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity and influence change across all organizational levels and with external stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and multitasking capabilities.
- Exceptional verbal communication skills with a history of engaging and influencing senior executives.
- Excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
- Ability to cultivate strong relationships and maintain credibility with suppliers.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Direct management experience in a regulated environment, particularly in medical devices, is preferred.
