Role Summary:

The Director of Process Engineering is tasked with establishing the framework, standards, and methodologies for Process Engineering across SFS. This role will involve active participation in process engineering initiatives across various functions within the organization. The director will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of process engineering throughout the company, ensuring that business units develop the necessary skills and adhere to the established frameworks and standards. Additionally, this position will oversee a team of full-time and/or contract professionals dedicated to process engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and enhance departmental and comprehensive process improvements within Stellantis Financial Services.
  • Engage with business stakeholders and vendors to strategically implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Collaborate with the Director of Originations Systems Development to track Sprint Team progress, including development and quality assurance testing, ensuring high-quality enhancements and production releases.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify exemplary processes and organizational structures for further process enhancements.
  • Provide expert guidance to executive teams on optimizing departmental and cross-departmental processes and controls.
  • Consult with business partners, subject matter experts, and IT on automation opportunities.
  • Address and resolve escalated project issues, blockers, and change requests related to process engineering initiatives.
  • Regularly communicate progress, projections, gaps, and potential needs, emphasizing key accomplishments, metrics, risks, and contingency strategies.
  • Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Additional Duties: Execute the essential responsibilities outlined above while supervising the daily activities and work schedules of team members, providing guidance in alignment with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Skills: To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate proficiency in the essential duties. The following qualifications are indicative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required:

Experience:

  • At least 10 years of experience in the financial services sector (automotive preferred).
  • A minimum of 5 years in a managerial role overseeing a team of 5 or more employees.

Required Skills:

  • Comprehensive understanding of automotive finance, including processes, procedures, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Proficient in tools such as MS Office, Visio, Miro, or similar process mapping software.
  • Demonstrated experience in applying process engineering principles, including metrics-driven analysis and recommendations, as well as process KPIs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity effectively.
  • Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business/Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

Travel Requirements: 10-20% as necessary.
