Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain systems design concepts based on customer requirements and direct the development of detailed CAD drawings to support the sales process.
  • Work closely with the sales team and CAD team to oversee the design, costing, scheduling, and implementation of systems.
  • Identify vendors based on quality of product and costs and provide guidance during the detailed design process.
  • Attend conferences, meetings, and training to stay current in the material handling equipment technologies industry.
  • Recommend and develop key strategic relationships with suppliers and integrators of material handling systems, equipment, and controls software.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field of study.
  • Five or more years of experience in automation, conveyor systems, or industrial engineering.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and proficiency in project management software.
  • Design experience with a systems integrator or conveyor manufacturer is preferred.
