Dining Service Support Specialist - Full-Time

The Forest at Duke is dedicated to creating a nurturing and responsible environment that promotes the independence of our residents in their golden years. Our goal is to be the premier provider of services for seniors in the Durham area.

The Dining Service Support Specialist plays a crucial role in fulfilling our mission by providing an outstanding dining experience. This role reports directly to the Dining Manager or their designated representative.

Essential Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience in a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) or healthcare environment is highly valued.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with residents, families, guests, and team members.
  • Capability to maintain a professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.

Key Performance Indicators:
  • Ensures clarity of assigned tasks before commencing work.
  • Effectively manages conflicts without emotional reactions.
  • Demonstrates a genuine commitment to delivering exceptional service.
  • Organizes and prioritizes responsibilities to ensure timely task completion.
  • Minimizes errors and omissions in work.
  • Offers assistance to colleagues when necessary.
  • Adheres to job requirements consistently.
  • Punctuality and regular attendance are expected.
