Assistive Technology Support Specialist

The Assistive Technology Support Specialist plays a crucial role in the daily management of the Upstate Caring Partners Technology Program (TRAID) office, focusing on customer service, data organization, and equipment upkeep.

This position also oversees the daily functions and administration of the Assistive Technology Grant (ATG). The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision following initial training.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide assistance with daily in-office customer service, including coordinating equipment delivery and retrieval.


Help maintain an updated contact list and execute quarterly mailings for information distribution as outlined in the DBTAC (NEADA/IT) grant.

Keep accurate records of customer interactions (phone inquiries, demonstrations, equipment loans, outreach efforts) and mailings.

Implement follow-up procedures and conduct customer satisfaction assessments.

Assist in the maintenance, cleaning, and tracking of equipment, including sourcing necessary supplies for upkeep.

Maintain a catalog/reference library.

QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's Degree in Human Services or a related discipline.


Strong understanding of various assistive technology devices relevant to education, community living, employment, and information technology/telecommunications, along with knowledge of disabilities and funding sources.

Intermediate computer proficiency is required.

A valid NYS Driver's License is necessary.
