Lead Software Engineer, Infrastructure Solutions

Zero-Knowledge (ZK) proofs represent a pivotal advancement in blockchain technology, enhancing scalability, interoperability, and privacy. At Succinct, our goal is to simplify the complexity of ZK proofs, making them accessible to developers across the globe.
Our flagship product, SP1, is a cutting-edge zkVM that delivers performance on par with custom ZK circuits, enabling developers to leverage ZK technology using conventional programming languages such as Rust. The Succinct Prover Network, currently under development, serves as a robust infrastructure layer that allows applications to delegate proof generation for open-source proof systems.
Prominent teams in the blockchain ecosystem, including Celestia, Wormhole, Lido, Avail, Near, and Gnosis, are already utilizing Succinct's infrastructure to innovate with ZKPs. We pride ourselves on our history of delivering exceptional products and pioneering technical advancements in ZK, backed by substantial revenue from our clientele.
Recently, we secured $55 million in funding through our Seed and Series A rounds, led by Paradigm, a leading investor in the cryptocurrency space. Our team, though small, is composed of highly skilled individuals, and we seek outstanding candidates who are eager to tackle challenging and meaningful problems in a dynamic environment.
Position OverviewWe are in search of a senior software engineer to concentrate on the infrastructure associated with our distributed proving cluster for SP1 and our prover network. In this capacity, you will:
- Design and uphold a highly available, scalable distributed system utilized for proof generation.
- Establish standardized tools and methodologies to enhance stability, observability, and scalability.
- Guarantee performance and reliability within an autoscaling cluster.
- Demonstrated experience with container orchestration and autoscaling.
- Familiarity with a standard monitoring and observability framework.
- A proactive ownership mindset.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience with AWS.
- Proficiency in Rust or Golang (our backend technology stack incorporates both).
Our team operates collaboratively in a shared workspace. We prefer candidates who thrive in an in-person setting and are either based in the area or willing to relocate (relocation expenses can be covered). For senior candidates who are an exceptional fit, we may consider remote work, provided they can onboard in person initially.
