POSITION SUMMARY

The Business Technology division is in search of a skilled Infrastructure Solutions Engineer to oversee and enhance our IT systems. This position emphasizes automation, Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions, AWS infrastructure, endpoint management (Mac/Windows), and corporate networking. We seek a proactive and meticulous individual to improve the reliability, security, and efficiency of our IT frameworks, which are vital for supporting our clients and business operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Utilize contemporary engineering methodologies—including Infrastructure as Code (IaC, Terraform), configuration management, log aggregation, monitoring, telemetry, alerting, and automation—to scale and refine essential IT functions and services.
  • Establish and sustain automated IAM solutions, particularly through Okta, to streamline access management and bolster our security framework across the organization.
  • Oversee network infrastructure, including the configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization of wireless access points, routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs to ensure a high-availability, high-performance multi-site corporate network.
  • Formulate and enforce policies for network and endpoint security, aligning with our security partners, industry standards, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Supervise the deployment, maintenance, and resolution of endpoint and networking challenges, providing technical support and incident management.
  • Lead and implement projects for system upgrades, migrations, and integrations, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing business activities.
  • Collaborate with Business Technology team members and cross-functional departments to align IT infrastructure with business objectives and project needs.
  • Guide junior engineers and peers, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in systems engineering/corporate infrastructure/IT with a robust background in AWS, IAM, IaC, automation, Mac/Windows environments, and network management.
  • Expertise in implementing, managing, and scaling IAM solutions, specifically Okta.
  • Familiarity with enterprise network management tools such as Meraki and the underlying protocols and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, WAN/LAN, OSPF, BGP).
  • Proficient with Windows 10/11/Server, Active Directory, Microsoft SCCM/Intune, Powershell, and network and configuration management tools.
  • Strong understanding of Python, Ruby, or other scripting languages for automation and configuration tasks.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of effectively engaging with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
COMPENSATION PACKAGE

Benchling adopts a market-driven approach to compensation. The starting salary for candidates will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, interview performance, and work location. The base salary range for this role is $170,000 to $230,000.
