Lead Software Engineer, Infrastructure Solutions

Zero-Knowledge (ZK) proofs are pivotal technologies for enhancing blockchain scalability, interoperability, and privacy. However, their complexity often deters many developers. At Succinct, our goal is to simplify the implementation of zero-knowledge proofs, making them accessible to developers of all skill levels.
Our flagship product, SP1, is a cutting-edge zkVM that delivers performance comparable to bespoke ZK circuits, enabling developers to utilize ZK within conventional programming languages such as Rust. The Succinct Prover Network, currently under development, serves as a hosted infrastructure layer that allows applications to delegate proof generation for open-source proof systems.
Leading teams in the blockchain space, including Celestia, Wormhole, Lido, Avail, Near, and Gnosis, are leveraging Succinct's infrastructure to innovate with ZKPs. We have a proven history of delivering high-quality products and pioneering technical advancements in ZK, supported by substantial revenue from our clientele.
We have recently secured $55 million in funding through our Seed and Series A rounds, led by Paradigm, a premier investor in the cryptocurrency sector. Our team, though small, is exceptionally talented, and we seek outstanding individuals who are eager to tackle challenging and meaningful problems in a dynamic environment.
Position ResponsibilitiesWe are in search of a senior software engineer focused on the infrastructure of our distributed proving cluster for SP1 and our prover network. In this capacity, you will:
- Design and maintain a highly available, scalable distributed system for proof generation.
- Develop standardized tools and processes to enhance stability, observability, and scalability.
- Ensure optimal performance and reliability of an autoscaling cluster.
- Experience with container orchestration and autoscaling technologies.
- Familiarity with standard monitoring and observability frameworks.
- A proactive ownership mindset.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Knowledge of AWS.
- Proficiency in Rust or Golang (our backend stack utilizes both languages).
Our team operates collaboratively in a shared workspace. We prefer candidates who thrive in an in-person setting and are either located in the area or willing to relocate. Relocation costs can be covered for the right candidate. For exceptional senior candidates, we may consider remote work arrangements, provided they can onboard in person initially.
